Anja Ringgren Lovén is the founder and director of African Children’s Aid Education and Development Foundation, a Danish humanitarian non-profit organization that rescues the so-called “witch children” in Nigeria. Their work, in addition to saving these children’s lives, involves continuous education and training, helping them to obtain a more dignified life.
Along with her husband, David Emmanuel Umem, Anja Lovén has built the most significant children support center in West Africa, named Land of Hope, where they provide care, protection and education to these children.
In 2016 Anja Ringgren Lovén was named The World´s Most Inspiring Person alongside President Barack Obama and Pope Francis. In 2017 Dalai Lama named her a personal hero. Today, Anja Ringgren Lovén is world famous and internationally awarded for her decision to rescue Africa’s “witch children”. With tireless optimism, Lovén has managed to give humanitarianism a whole new meaning.
