Dirk van Dierendonck
Dirk van Dierendonck is an organizational psychologist, professor of human resource management, in particular leadership and management development and Vice-Dean of the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM).
His expertise includes topics such as leadership and leadership development, wellbeing, happiness, and burnout. Van Dierendonck aims to encourage people to become the best they can be, using an evidence-based approach grounded in psychology and management. His research has been published in leading journals on management, organizational behaviour and human resource management.
Dirk van Dierendonck teaches courses at undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate level. He is also active in translating academic knowledge into practical tools for human resources professionals, such as the three recent European Union-funded projects about cultural diversity, age management and artful leadership.
Dirk van Dierendonck is a co-founder of Erasmus Centre for Leadership at the Erasmus Research Institute of Management, which executes fundamental and applied research in the field of leadership, management development and people management, with a robust research-based approach.
