Francisco Pereira Coutinho

Francisco Pereira Coutinho is an associate professor at Nova School of Law (Lisbon, Portugal). He has a law degree (2002) and a PhD in Law (2009) from Nova School of Law. Currently, he is the Vice Dean of Nova School of Law, where he teaches public international law and European Union law. He is also a professor at the School of Human and Social Sciences of Nova University.

Previously, he was a lecturer at the Institute for Political and Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon and Lisbon Autónoma School of Law, as well as a legal advisor at the Diplomatic Institute of the Portuguese Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Portuguese Secretary of State for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

He has extensive research and publications mainly in European Union law and public international law. He is a member of CEDIS – Center for Research on Law and Society of Nova School of Law, the Portuguese Society of International Law, andthe Portuguese Association of European Law.
