Jamie Susskind

Jamie Susskind is a writer and a practicing barrister. He studied history and politics at Magdalen College, Oxford, before graduating in law. A former Fellow of Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, he is the author of Future Politics: Living Together in a World Transformed by Tech (Oxford University Press, 2018), awarded with the Estoril Global Issues Distinguished Book Prize 2019 and described by The Guardian as “a formidable achievement”.

Susskind has written extensively on the subjects of technology (AI, Blockchain, robotics) and politics and has been described by the London Evening Standard as “one of the great public intellectual rock stars of our time”.

Jamie Susskind has published about digital technology and its impact on economics and democracy on Wired, The New York Times, or the Daily Telegraph, and has given talks at Microsoft, Google, University of Harvard, University of Stanford, British Academy, Royal Society of Arts, or at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library.
