João Taborda da Gama

João Taborda da Gama is a lawyer and a professor at the Portuguese Catholic University where he is also the coordinator of a post-graduate course in Tax Law. Previously he was Secretary of State for Local Administration at the XX Constitutional Government and, between 2011 and 2013, he was policy advisor to the President of the Portuguese Republic. 

He holds a law degree and a master’s in Administrative Law, both by the Law School of the University of Lisbon. He was an assistant lecturer at that same Law School and a visiting research fellow at the Georgetown University Law Centre and at New York University, where he integrates the Practice Council of the International Tax Program. He has published extensively in the fields of Tax Law, Administrative Law and Local Taxes and is the executive-editor of Fiscalidade. 

Taborda da Gama is a lawyer and a partner at the law firm Júdice GlóriaTaborda da Gama, a member of the Ethics Council of Apifarma and an adviser to the Albright Stonebridge Group.
