Laurinda Alves is a journalist, was a columnist in Publico newspaper for 12 years, a daily columnist in i newspaper, and is a columnist in Observador, an online newspaper.
She was an interviewer, TV host, blogger, radio analyst, author of 9 chronicle and short-story books published in the last 10 years, and a curator and manager of “Dialogue Cafe”, a United Nations Foundation/Civilizations Alliance – Cisco – Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation project until June 2014.
She created XIS magazine and was its director for 8 years. She studied Social Entrepreneurship at INSEAD, Fontainebleau in 2009.
A speaker since 1990, she teaches how to communicate in schools, universities, and enterprises. She was a non-elected candidate to the European Parliament in the elections of June 2009. She has been a volunteer in a palliative care unit since September 2007 and is a co-founder of Academia do Johnson.
