Pedro Espírito Santo

Pedro Espírito Santo is the representative of the European Union at the Y20 – Summit of young leaders of G20 and a member of the Cabinet of the Secretary of State Assistant to the Prime Minister and Parliamentary Affairs of the XXI Constitutional Government. He also coordinates the seminar on Law of External Action of the European Union at Nova University School of Law.

Before joining the XXI Constitutional Government, he has worked at the European Commission at the Legal Affairs of International Cooperation Unit and subsequently, as Political Advisor to the Director of Cooperation between Europe and Asia, the Pacific, the Gulf and the Middle East.

Before the European Commission, he worked at the United Nations in New York, at the Office of Legal Affairs, providing legal advice on policy areas, including development projects, responsibility and institutional affairs or contracts and dispute resolutions.

Pedro Espírito Santo holds a B.A. in Law (magna cum laude) from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2013) and an LL.M in International and European Law from Jesus College, University of Cambridge (2014).
